Three Aliyevs in one headline

On 30th April, a shooter entered State Oil Academy and gunned down twelve and wounded another twelve before killing himself. Never a university in Azerbaijan saw such a tragedy. However, the authorities haven't declared a single National Mourning Day yet.

Why? Because just 10 days later, there would be 86th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev, former president of Azerbaijan and father of incumbent President. The government didn't want to spoil the grandiose Holiday of Flowers that they were planning and spent around 18,5 million dollars in preparations. I, and not only me, but most people couldn't understand the defiance shown to the public demands of mourning and suppression of grief. Instead, police was ordered to hinder the people from laying flowers and lighting candles in front of the Academy and turn away all mourners by force.

And now, bingo! It seems I have found the answer! They are obsessed with themselves. Narcissism; and a very curious case of!

In Azerbaijan we have parks, plants, an international ariports and etc, named after former president Heydar Aliyev and his family members. Republican Palace was renamed into Heydar Aliyev Palace and Azerbaijan Avenue into Zarifa Aliyeva street. Recently, Royal Dutch Bulb Growers Association presented a new tulip species named after Heydar Aliyev. And now, for the masterpiece, look at the recent headline from RFE/RL Azeri Service dating 10th of May:
Ilham Aliyev awarded Mehriban Aliyeva with Heydar Aliyev Award
