Where is my Fandorin novel?

It was ages ago that I finished reading Boris Akunin's The Diamond Chariot, the 11th novel in Erast Fandorin series and Jade Rosary Beads, and it seems it took ages to wait for the next sequel to be published. I was wondering - what happened to Boris, why next book isn't ready yet?

And here is the answer - right from Central Asia! As Newsru.com revealed these days, citing Radio Kultura, the main villain behind this delay is Islam Karimov himself, the notorious Uzbekbashi!

As next Fandorin novel will be set in 1910, in Central Asia, particularly in Bukhara, modern Uzbekistan, Islam Karimov got wary. What if Akunin writes something offensive about Karimov and modern Uzbek government? Therefore he demanded that Boris Akunin delivers his draft and synopsis of the novel to the official examination of Uzbek Government, and if the novel gets official approval, then Boris can visit Uzbekistan, and Uzbek archives and write his book. Complete moronism, isn't it???

The worst thing is that Boris decided to drop writing his next Fandorin novel. As he told Radio Kultura, he is used to handle his profession seriously, and unfortunately, have to leave aside his plan to write next Fandorin sequel, because he can't visit those buildings and places, where the events from his book will took place, and he can't get reliable information that he needs.

Hey, Mr. Karimov, I ask you, where is my Fandorin novel?
