PanArmenian reports that Azerbaijan has officially banned Turkish music from Azerbaijani TV and radio stations in a protest against the possible opening of Turkish-Armenian border. Wow! I was so intrigued that I have to switch on my radio first time since 1st January, after the government barred BBC, VOA and RFE Azeri service from FM band.
First I switched to Radio Burc FM, Turkish-owned radio station here in Baku - according to PanArmenian logic, the first thing to do for our government was to shut it down. However, the radio station was on, and (but) what I heard was Freddy Mercury's I want to break free. Therefore, I switched to 106 FM, which also has a heavy Turkish repertoire and... bingo! It was Rafet el Roman's song flowing from the radio! It was around 17:20 on 14th April. And even now, writing this post, I once again switched on my radio - at around 10:05, and it is Serdar Ortac singing at Burc FM one tasteless song with lyrics like "sana deymez bu sitemler".
Thus, another fake news from PanArmenian. If you remember a few days before famous Day.az closure, PanArmenian published another fake news about "Jewish pogroms in Sumgayit" which drove mad even the chief Chabad rabbi of Azerbaijan.
Isn't it a time for corrections, PanArmenian?
