Not long ago, Russian media reports revealed that Islam Karimov himself, the notorious Uzbekbashi is hindering Boris Akunin - my favorite writer, BTW - from writing 12th novel in celebrated Erast Fandorin series. I also wrote an angry post demanding my novel from Mr Karimov.
And voila! As a response to my criticism, Azerbaijan, the official newspaper of Azerbaijani Parliament, published a 3,000-word panegyric to Islam Karimov, and in addition, as a response to my naming him "Uzbekbashi", the newspaper called him "The Greatest Uzbek".
