Some interesting notes

Recently Dervish_Y has made an interesting discovery: out of ten judges of the Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan three were born in Sharur district of Nakhichevan (Nadjafov, Babayev, Hasanova). Interestingly, last three Presidents of Azerbaijan (out of four), including the incumbent one, are also from Nakhichevan (Elchibay, Heydar and Ilham Aliyevs). Plus, current PM of Azerbaijan, Rasi-zadeh is also from Nakhichevan.

Feeling a bit intrigued, I surfed through the National Academy of Sciences website and made another interesting discovery: out of nine Presidents of the National Academy, four were born in Nakhichevan (Mammedaliyev, Abdullayev, Salayev, Magsudov).

Interesting note: According to Article 130 of Azerbaijani Constitution, the Constitutional Court is to be composed of 9 judges, however, website of the Court says that there are currently 10 judges.
