I have just discovered the weakest point of my blog - I have almost no showbiz coverage :)) Therefore, I have decided to post this piece :))
The Azerbaijani Parliament makes a crucial decision to lift presidential term limits. Until now a person can be elected the President of Azerbaijan only twice (for a five year period each). The recent proposals not only lift this ban, but also set a rule that in the event of war, elections would be postponed. This decision has to be approved in a nationwide referendum, but with Azerbaijan's record of election practices... :(
However, Azerbaijani news portals are dominated by another kind of showbiz news. The story is about a quarrel between two People’s Artists of Azerbaijan, which started by calling each other “gay” and “lesbian” and ended [for now] with one of them calling whole Muslim World into Jihad against the other. A real Hollywood drama, and very actual one, especially after 9/11. (I won't give any link here).
The story “runs so deep” that even main radical-turned-moderate Shiite cleric, and the chairman of “movement of Azerbaijani intelligentsia”, as well as all the pals and foes of the aforementioned quarrelling People’s Artists intervened.

Ali, just checked your blog. This is an excellent initative and I hope blog culture will gradually increase in Azerbaijan.
We need to change our communication means and blog is the key to start this process.
