"The Selected" and "the selecteds"

Yesterday, ANS, a local media company presented "the first political thriller of Azerbaijan" - The Selected. What drew my attention was some interesting photos of "the selecteds" (or Azeri intelligentsia) which was posted by ANS in its website.
