About 6 hours ago AP dispatched a small news piece about equestrians competing in Beijing Olympics, where at the end it read: "In one of the early rounds, Jamal Rahimov from Azerbaijan was pitched to the ground and then limped off the course after his horse crashed through a fence. He was released after being checked out in a hospital."
"So, what?", you can ask? Yes, he fell, and it is not the end of the world!
But what about 1,971,000 euros spent to buy for him "the best horse of the France"? And take into consideration - this money was spent from Azerbaijan's oil revenues! I already commented about IMF warning Azerbaijan about forthcoming economic recession, and now a wise decision would be to preserve or invest correctly every dollar that we possess. But what they do? They spend an astronomic sum of money to buy a horse for a Belgian resident and invest such amount in a sport where Azerbaijan has a chance to win a bronze in 2288 Martian Olympics.
I can't even find words to comment on this... Just look at the photos of Azerbaijan's millions swept away by Chinese winds... (first photo is from AFP, the rest - from AP)

Shirin xeyallar aci heqiqete chevrildi! Bu shekillerdeki yarashiqli at mene Azerbaycanin neftle zengin bugununu, atdan yixilan oglan ise Azerbaycanin geleceyini xatirlatdi. Vaxt olacaq Azerbaycanin gelecek nesilleri de bu cur yere chirpilacaq. Daim at uzerinde dik gezmek isteyenler evvelce eyilib ati yedirecek arpani ekmelidirler. Bu ata bu qeder pul verenleri tenqid eden sherhlerin en choxu pula ehtiyaci olan xeste adamlar oldugu halda xeste atin derdinin niye chekilmesi ile bagli idi. Allahin edaleti ele getirdiki at uzerinde dik oturaraq qalibiyyet arzulayanlar xestexana yatagina duchar oldular.
